| Just finished chapter one.
When I picked up this book, I wasn't sure if I would like it. But it was on sale at Borders, and I was looking for something to read, so I bought it. Turns out, it's actually a pretty good read. Since it was a nonfiction book about history, I thought it might get boring. But so far it has not been boring at all. It's really like reading a story... except it's all true, which makes it even more interesting.
Thoughts on Chapter 1: Having always been in Protestant churches, I've just taken a lot of the theology for granted. I knew about Luther and the Reformation, but I didn't know about Wycliffe and all the people who challenged the Catholic church before Luther. A lot of people made great sacrifices for their beliefs... makes me wonder if I would have done the same if I were in their shoes. Certainly gives me a lot to be thankful about, especially having the Bible to read for myself, and freedom of religion in this country.

| That is the question.
Should we stay in MD or move to SD?
I'm just starting to feel settled in here in MD... ...and we have to starting thinking about moving again.
So much to think about... cost of living, if I can find a job in SD (I have two jobs here now, plus private tutoring), finding a new church, making new friends, earthquakes, traffic, weather, buying a house...
The first couple of months here were pretty depressing for me - nothing to do, no friends, no job Don't really want to go through that again. But I do hate driving around here, and I do like the SD weather.
I guess if I could bring my currently level of "settled-in-ness" to SD with me, it would be a lot easier to move. How to decide?

| Really cute movie. And I want a Kevin... and a Doug.

| I just saw a TV commercial for Nutri-Systems (diet program). One lady said she got hooked after trying the first meal and that "... each meal was better than the next..."
Hmmm... doesn't that mean that the meals got worse with each one?
BTW, has anyone else seen a braking cow? Jeth and I were driving to work the other day and noticed a toy cow sitting on a tow-hitch on the SUV in front of us. Every time the car braked, the cow would shake its arms (forelegs) frantically. It was pretty funny. It made us wish we had camera phones so we could have gotten a picture or video of it.
